hoping this will push up value of 'normal ones' like mine

But too most people apart from the hardened BMW enthusiast they won't know what a M3 Sport Evolution is. So u won't get much attention unless u are amongst people who know their BMWsMorat wrote:I honestly don't think it will make much difference. Sport Evos attract top dollar precisely because they are The Ultimate. It's the (current) way to show that you have lots of understated cash available to indulge your superb taste in motoring excellence. The fact that it looks like a £15k M3 but is infact a £70k M3 to those in the know is EXACTLY why it is worth £70k. At that end of the market, to buy a "normal" M3 is to admit you don't know the difference, are too ridiculously poor to be in the same circles as a SE owner - or both.
To wander up the owner of a Sport Evo and say "Yeah, I had one of those - great motor for £10k when I had it" will give the SE owner as much of a smug feeling as when he notices that the welts on your shoes are machine stitched.
Bullshit, but that's how it works.
I know of 3, one is in boxes/bags after lots of Dramas in Hull involving a few thieving eastern EuropeansMorat wrote:I'm not sure how many Sport Evos there are in Yorkshire, probably not that many![]()
Yep plus the fact it's been painted and isn't a UK supplied car.Royalratch wrote:Overpriced for that mileage.
I think the M3 price madness has flatlined recently.
Traders were taking the pee pee. I know of a SportEvo that had slightly lower miles than this and they wanted nearer six figures.
The Hairpin Company SE is apparently soldevosport1990 wrote:I know the owner and have seen the car, it is a minter.

If everything has been replaced and rebuilt where required then that's not too bad in terms of value for money, i wouldn't fancy putting EDC right if it gave up...evosport1990 wrote:I know the owner and have seen the car, it is a minter.

A £70k sport evo is unlikely to be left on the streetpony wrote:With any E30 M3 especially Sport Evolutions I would be wanting a bloody good alarm and steering locks and a Tracker especially should u leave it parked on the street!!!!
I agree a sport Evo is unlikely to be left on the street regardless of the area you live in.harry_p wrote:A £70k sport evo is unlikely to be left on the streetpony wrote:With any E30 M3 especially Sport Evolutions I would be wanting a bloody good alarm and steering locks and a Tracker especially should u leave it parked on the street!!!!![]()
And not everyone lives in a crime hotspot. I've never been worried about leaving mine parked up anywhere. There are a lot more cars parked on most roads that are worth more than a half decent e30 m3 which are a lot less likely to attract attention and a lot easier to dispose of.
As for 60-70 plus m3s, it's just absurd. Theyre not 'worth' anywhere near that much for how they drive, theyre that much because that's what people are asking and people want them for their collection or to take a punt on hoping values continue to climb.
Is funny though in certain areas of London u will see £100k Maseratis, F10 M5s, 991s, 997s, Merc CL63 AMG left on the street. Why this left on a street and Sport Evolution is very unlikely ?Fastroad wrote:I agree a sport Evo is unlikely to be left on the street regardless of the area you live in.harry_p wrote:A £70k sport evo is unlikely to be left on the streetpony wrote:With any E30 M3 especially Sport Evolutions I would be wanting a bloody good alarm and steering locks and a Tracker especially should u leave it parked on the street!!!!![]()

I have owned both a 2.3ltr M3 and currently own a Sport Evo.pony wrote:Was going to say out of everyone here that has owned one what are they like to drive ????
