Hi,
The TC2 is going back on the road this week, the only MOT issue was a bulging brake hose and a bit of exhaust fart

Time to sort out the niggles including the heater valve....leaking and poor heat...replacing the stereo as thed cassette has died and I cant listen to Now 6 anymore. One of the leather seats needs redying and the car needs a service.

An annoying and Baur specific problem is that the rear window demister motor isnt working. I dont know if this is a part found on non baur cabriolets. The TC2 has a blower motor and electric heater under the rear parcel shelf to blow hot air onto the plastic window. My one isnt working.

If anyone has any experience of a similar problem and any common faults I would be very grateful for suggestions before I take the shelf to bits.

The blower is a unique Baur part. I did't realise there was a heater under the rear shelf - mine only had a blower which blew cold air.

Thanks - any ideas which fuse it runs off?
The ' heater' I have on mine looks suspiciously like the heater element of a 12V hairdryer!

looks like someone has modified it!

Given the location of the motor it is in a prime position for getting clogged up with dust etc. Suspect if it is't dodgey wiring it will be caked in fluff

Sorry Scoot, car's gone so can't remember which fuse the fan runs off, but would be suprised if it's heated for the risk of the window becoming damaged.

This is the only thing I can find out about the fan:-

The fan itself (part 3) is apparently still available.

The fuse is the same as on the heated rearwindow.

Does the fan look the same as this:

If so its the same as a cabby one. Mine would not blow hot air and it turned out to be the relay on the fan had corroded terminals. A clean up with contact cleaner and some wet and dry made it an easy fix.
