Finally got round to trying to replace the rubber fuel lines in the engine bay that go from the metal pipes to the FPR and the Injector rail.

The thing is for love nor money can I get them to go onto the metal connections properly. The pipes are 6mm same as was removed but its a hell of a tight fit. Tried heating them up and lubricating with fairy liquid and engine oil but still they won't go on far enough.

Any tips on how to make the internal diameter of the pipe just that little bit bigger to get them fitted?

Yep, it's 13x8mm pipe, not 6mm.

Bugger, the old pipes were stamped 6x13. That explains the ballache I am having with the pipes. They must have been replaced before with the wrong kind. Thanks chaps.

Not yet, been concentrating in the mechanical issues this now. Had a bloody good hunt though and no other signs of rust in the engine bay bar where the water is getting into the tray. That can wait till the engine is back together and running again.
