since i put 16 inch wheels on my car, with tyre size 205/50, the car randomly pulls left or right for short bursts of time an vibrates stupidly above 80
i adjusted tyre pressures, and went to the garage and inspected the tracking and said it was only just out; and wasnt out enough to affect steering. THe people there, who i have known for ages, said that i had the wrong size tyres on the car and that i needed a lower profile?? somehting liek a 205/45/r16 or a 215/40/r16
is this true or have i been had? jsut wondering!
PS are falkens any good?

what rims did you put on? sounds like that you need a plastic/rubber washer around the hub where the rim goes on? did you get these with the wheels? i got them with my borbets and you just slip them on before the rim so the rim sits nice and snug without play into the hub? i forget the name of these things - spigot rings or something? tyres are no way causing that problem.

bushes seemed ok when ihad 14s on
they said that they didnt need to balance the wheels as it was a tyre problem
which bushes do i need to replace? are you sure i dont just need spigot rings?

sounds like worn parts...
check steering components. springs, shocks.
i have the joys of the trailing arm bushes on the E34 to replace too.

Get someone to have a look at the car, or just relace everything.

finding a fault like thins can be a pain, get some new boots, then when you change the shocks and springs do all the bushes, ARB links tie rods, they are only penies.
its worth it in the long run
