Speak to a guy called Gunni, probably your best bet although the work isn't overly hard. I would just do it yourself and save some cash.

Any engine builder will do it. It's all very basic stuff. Gunni would probably be able to supply it all for you though as I'm sure I read a build thread where he did that (just don't get him to build you an exhaust manifold 8O )

Here are his contact details. He can also supply plug and play engine management:

Don't waste your money. Go and buy an E46 M3 , enjoy a factory supercar that works and when you get bored sell it quickly for a decent price. The other option is to spunk thousands on something that will be none stop aggro. This is a good option if you want to experience what it is like to be a poor development engineer.

I do believe Gunni didnt make the manifold, but you would know that if you had read everything about the manifold.
the guy at DI tuning made it, Gunni just took the order,

He has built more of these engines than i'v had hot sh1ts!! he knows his stuff (and i love my currys)

not only has he brought outstanding deals to the zone, he is a fountain of knowledge,

me personally, he's helped me out hugely, yes with the mapping, but also with parts,

hell i like the guy, so i'm not gonna let anyone on here slate him or bad mouth him
especially if they have never had dealings with him or even spoke to him.

or they will have me to deal with

I know he didnt make the manifold himself , and yeah the knoledge he possesses is more than likely spot on and way way further than i know , but ! Can he himself build an engine ,the old talk the talk but cant walk the walk phrase .
that is what im getting at here fella As this is what the op has asked for .

I should have worded my first comment abit different .

And yes i have spoke to him personally via pm , not much but still .

He took the money for the manifold, whether he made it or the Easter bunny did is besides the point. It's called taking responsibility.

I understand exactly what your saying with a e46 m3 as they are an excellent car and plenty fast but for just speed i would imagine an m50 turbo would be quicker ,or is traction an utter nightmare ,the reason for the question is i was planning on an m20 turbo conversion on my e30 but after buying an engine that turned out to be f00ked i have decided to use an m50 instead ,people seem to make out as if you can have 400 ish bhp quite reliable out of them , i know top end the e46 will be quicker ,also be safer ,comfier etc but im only really interested in 1/4 mile times

The trouble is Sunny, 400 bhp will cost you easily 5k+ before you start upgrading brakes and suspension and all the time things will be breaking and going wrong as they always do on modified cars :(

Traction will be toilet . Not that it matters as you will be parked up at Santa Pod with all the other turbo turds talking about the price of Samco hosing and cable ties and how if your staffy had not ate your license you would have been out there laying down some 12 second passes :)

Keep your sport standard, that way it will still have a value. If you want a fast car, buy one, much less dollarz and aggro .

PS I have a really nice 100k M20 2.5 that you can see running if you need one :)

thanks but i have the standard engine still in the car i bought the other as a spare to build up but the head is completely knackered .

I tried buying the already fast car last year with an evo 6 but that almost sent me bankrupt busting all the time, and tbh i deep down already know building a turbo m50 is a waste of time and money but im 99% still going to do it anyway even though you are right on the e46 m3 but i just love the look of an e30

I wont be stood talking 12 second passes i will be constantly in motion so people cant see how much of a turd the turd really is.

( i feel i have taken this nicely off topic here ,back to the matter at hand )

ha stay away from small engine turbo cars and jap turbo cars in general .

im under no illusions to be honest about the rest of the car ,but it did seem they hold 400 bhp ish quite reliable engine wise ,also parts are penny's compared to jap bits so its not all bad.
