Yep. 5 days prior to the day you want it to start is the maximum ahead you can do it
Failing that do it on line, you run the risk of being fined for failure to display the disc but it would have to be a bell end of a police officer to do that

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Do it at the post office, i lost a months road tax by doing it online for the astra
. The car was untaxed and nor was it sorn'd. I'd bought the car from blackbushe and was awaiting the V5 in the post, although i did apply for the tax on the 27th feb thinking it was the 28th.
oh well, it had been sat on my drive since the 2nd feb so was eager to find out if id bought a lemon.

did you not put the date of when you want the tax to start ? or did it just automatically rip you off .had the car been out of tax for one month and with it not being sorned you got stuffed for that previous month being the new keeper and buying it the beginning of feb ?
i hate paying taxes and being ripped off a month is a double blow

I got automatically shafted. The car hadn't been taxed since last year
shocking how little its been on road for a 3year old car, I think im going to put it up for sale tho. A 1.6 auto is gutless to say the least..
