Hi , I took my e30 to be rolling roaded yesterday his results wernt good as the car could only run very low boost at low rpm so it wasn't running lean . He said he couldn't push it any further other wise it will go pop. He said I need a updated fuel pump but have no idea what one or where to fit it will it go in the tank or outside the tank it's a 87' model convert I'm trying to run between 270 -320 bhp . Also which spark plugs would be the best for me ?

Stick your hand under the nearside sill toward the rear beam mount. You should feel the pump up inside there if it's an external one. I'm using a walbro 255lph pump on my m20b25 turbo. Should also do the job for you. Plug wise I've fitted colder NGK BKR 7's. WhAt injectors and manAgement are you running?

It's more a case of what fuel pressure are you running? The standard pump has plenty of flow rate, but this drops of dramatically with pressure.
Pump is only tucked up under the rear left on early cars. Anything post '87 should have the pump in the tank under the hatch under the RH side of the rear seat base.

It definitely is in the car , I'm not sure of flow rates and pressure the guy said that it doesn't have enough pressure / fuel after 4000rpm so was looking to update the pump and how to go about doing it
