I noticed these while on a USA E30 site.

Strange strut mounts !

Any idea why ?

it's a 1992 325i Convertible

i can see it... it's obvious once you see... took me a few mins to twig though. the extra plate from the top of the strut tower? some seem to have it while others don't. maybe some extra stiffening that the cab had?

bingo. thats what they are, i've only ever seen them on cab and i would have imagined they are there to help stiffen up the shell

so was i originally, for about 10 minuets :mad: then i realised that was the only differance i could see :cool:
