Tech 1 steering wheel question?

Evening all just a quick question,

I've got an f reg 325i sport that is fitted with an m tech 1 steering wheel, I've seen other f reg 325s with the tech 2 steering wheels? Were both steering wheels available for the sport on an f plate or have the others I have seen been updated at a later date?

Early mtech 2 cars were fitted with the mtech 1 wheels. I don't know when the change over was, but it is safe to say it wasn't long before the mtech 2 wheel was the norm.

Ah rite, well think mine needs updating to an tech 2 item!

My tech 1 looks a bit vintage!

Strangely the IS came with tech1 and they were a year later still. I like the vintage look of the tech1 but prefer the feel of the tech2, hence why I swapped mine.
