hi all...
thinking i was saving myself work on my m52 swap i decided not to bother swaping the steering rack with the e36 one as there is nothing wrong with the one on there,, but now im in to the mission i realized that the m52 pump needs a 16mm banjo bolt and the hose from the e30 is a 14mm banjo,, should of just swaped the rack,,

this is what i came up with, fitting it at weekend and will post a picture fitted,,

Strange , mine fits fine and i presume the m50/52 have same banjo size . I have e30 rack and sure i used e36 bolt . No mods .

Not knocking what youve done Thats a good solution , just cant see why me or a pal didnt run into your problem .

Sure you're connecting the reservoir and rack pipes to the correct holes? I have a feeling one is bigger than the other.

your making me worrie now ,, lol ... the original bolt just screws in with a copper washer each side of the banjo,, the adapter is the exact same thread as the big banjo bolt but with out holes and bigger head as there was not enough wall to have a thead in side it so iv done the head bigger and longer to accommodate the smaller bajo bolt just as if it was going into the old pump with the smaller hole,,

There needs to be a shoulder on the bolt to seal it against the pump

The only way you will do it is by cutting the banjo end of something and welding up the pipe, it will still need a sealing washer each side
