Just had a quick browse in the for sale section .... R there any completely rust free tech1s on the zone ? And secondly are there any tech1 sports on the zone that are rust free completely original paint everywhere and no welding ? I am just curious.
Be good to hear from those with experience of working on or buying and selling Tech1 Sports aka Pacer ....

These days there will be very few left with no rust or repairs ever in there life. Even fewer will come up for sale. In the last two years on the zone I have not seen one original rust free tech 1 sport come up for sale.

There are few nice restored ones on here. Mine is a patched up turd but looks ok. The Mrs is driving it for the first time back from work tonight, i'm not worried at all. . . . . . .

I know of one, Lach's Silver sub 20k mileage, completely original, owned by a dealer, not moved under its own power for about 2 years now, and won't be moving anytime soon.
Hers's the add, although its been in Tamworth for a couple of years now

Yes I was aware WLN Automotive had one. So this did not sell then ? I thought they were based up North ?The_Diddler wrote:I know of one, Lach's Silver sub 20k mileage, completely original, owned by a dealer, not moved under its own power for about 2 years now, and won't be moving anytime soon.

So what are these Tech1s worth .... Can we come up with some sort of rough price guide with out going into pages and pages of debate ?
Should someone on the Zone come up with price guides for Tech1 Sports and Tech2 Sports for the Wiki and possible buyers guides if there is none already ?
Is there a register of chassis numbers / reg plates / number of owners and mileage / colour / gearbox now that numbers are really dwindling ? Might be a good idea.
On CSL Register one member does this and had a spreadsheet of what cars sold for or advertised at plus basic info. He is also organising a CSL Trip to Munich in May to celebrate 10 years of the M3 CSL. Be nice if we had this level of detail on the Zone now numbers are falling can't be too many of these about ....

I'm not sure I want to be on a website where some sad bastard has a spreadsheet detailing prices of cars sold. Also having the reg and chassis number is a pretty retarded suggestion

sounds a bit daft- noting all asking prices- with the amount of silly asking prices of sheds of any car you see these days, and in general every car advertised on internet is a bit of a hopeful asking price anyway, and even all the classifieds, piston heads, auto trader cars sold/listing removed, you never know the actual price they were sold for
what a nut job

I've had dozens of eager PMs from people asking "do you want me to do this for the Wiki?" Out of that, I've had about three results.pony wrote: Should someone on the Zone come up with price guides for Tech1 Sports and Tech2 Sports for the Wiki
So rather than suggesting "someone" do it, just do it yourself, and let me know when it's done.

I don't think a price guide is needed or really even possible. What's it going to say? A rotten shed is £500 and a 20k minter is £10k and all others fall within these bounds?
It wouldn't work, prices are changing and it's impossible to value a 20 year old car anyway. They are only worth what a buyer pays
