e46 alarm help please!

My mates got a e46 318i coupe and the alarm keeps going off for no reason. I googled the problem to see what came up and it was suggested to unplug the under bonnet switch. I did this but the problem is still there? The car has recently had a new battery as the last one was knackered could it be related? Thanks in advance.

It thinks one of the doors are open.!

So what can I do to rectify the problem? New switches?

Get the multimeter out and get testing.
