You need a Alpine M bus cd changer cable which is 8 pin DIN.

Complete refurbishment underneath ie powder coated, replated, new parts etc and the two bits on the body i mentioned in the molested thread.

All the Alpina parts are going and the car is going back to standard sport spec.

Even the recaros are going!

The audio will receive some changes as well as i have collected some more Blaupunkt morsels.

Looking forward to seeing the pics very much.

Would frag well, put this sorry looking turd out of its misery........
 :D :D

Liked this alot with the alpina stuff, was done very well as usual by Barry.

In standard sport trim, would be hard to find many others in this kind of condition, in fact i bet you could count them on one hand and still have some fingers left.

Time for a bit of an update.

The rumours were right, i did go to Germany to collect my new interior to replace the nappa leather recaro LS's i sold to Kedge.

Pics of it to follow when i get a chance to take some decent snaps.

I've also had a change of direction with the car and all of the Alpina parts have been removed and replaced with standard M technic parts and a set of unrefurbished unused mint 15" BBS made up from spare wheels.

So looks like this now, (pics by Blitz @ Gaydon)

Quite different to how it looked last summer (pics on page 1)

I also sourced a set of these,

Which now look like this,

15" BBS RS? Are you going staggered 205/55 front 225/50 rear?

Hell yeah! :D Proper 80's chunky look, none of his stretched, poke and gape nonsense!

They are BBS RS001's no less, the correct 15x7 ET25 size for an E30!

The rears are going an inch wider and the fronts 1/2 inch so 15x7.5 and 15x8. The ET changes as well but can't remember of the top of my head what it is but works out fine.

Tyres will be 205/55 and 225/50. If you thought 205/55's were hard to find in a decent brand, 225/50's are 10 times worse!

From what I have found out only mk2 MR2's and Lamborghini countach front tyres used 225/50/15. :(

Will look something like this as the white car is running the wheel and tyre sizes I'm going for and is a similar height to mine.

Presentation looks absolutely spot on with the M Technic bits.
Is it easy to tell the unused unrefurbed wheel from refurbed wheel ?
Is that Diamond Black ? Were there any other blacks for E30s ?

To the trained eye yes.

A non metallic black called Schwartz/ black commonly known as "gloss black" was available Soni but not on 325i sports or 318iS's or M3's other than the M3 Sport Evo.

It was not as popular when new as diamond black which is what mine is.

My old man used to have a E30 320i 4 door B599YHV. Was black but I am not sure which one i think is was Diamond Black but not sure. Loved that colour. Was I think originally a Central London car hence last 2 letters are "HV" and I think was originally BMW Park Lane car as I remember used to have Park Lane rear window sticker. In the scrap heap now had a lovely smell inside with the chequered cloth interior RIP :-(

Just a few maintenance items creeping up that need addressing.

A weep from the sump gasket, gearbox selector shaft seal starting to leak, and a cracked propshaft guibo, all things that have never been replace.

TBH, as winter is round the corner and the car coming off the road again i will tackle those jobs at the same time as a major underside refresh.

I actually dug the Alpina Styling Pack'd look and the previous interior was divine, but I'm assuming you're reverting back to complete standard albeit fully spec'd up Sportmeister style? Don't get me wrong I do still like the look of a standard Sport 8)
