So while the car was in the air with some WD penetrating the clutch salve hose nut, I thought I'd tackle this simple job I've had for ages. Hmphhhhh......I've been on this most of the day, and getting nowhere. I've tried soaking in boiling water, hitting with a hammer and block of wood, fitting the lolipop loosley first. All to no avail.

I can't get these powerflex bushed lolipops to line up with the chassis holes. I tried undoing the wishbone 22mm nut to give more wriggle, but im too knackered! Sprayed it with WD so will try again tomorrow.

The pictures show the lolipop a touch further out than I've managed to get them in to be fair. There's handy indentations for the arm. With some bending I can almost get the outside one to match the hold, but the bolt will not go in at that angle.

Any suggestions / advice / offers to help? Only just got the car back on the road after a year and a half! Gutted I've driven it twice now I'm buggered :(

It was one page recommended yes. DOn't have the original lube, bought these off the zone pre fitted to lolipops.

Using copperslip won't hold the inner bush from turning within itself,

Lookin at the pic I can't see the end of the wishbone popping through the bush towards the back of the car like I can see on mine. Might be because mine has OEM bushes but is that possibly the problem?

Looksike the fin in the wishbone is slightly too proud of the bush. You sure that's as far onto the wishbone as they go? The fin on the wishbone should fit pretty snugly in the slot on the bush without any gaps. Then fit the ball joint tothe subframe first and use a 'tweaky bar' (old screwdriver, broken centre punch etc) to align the first bolt hole for the lollipop. Then its easy :)

Result! :D really handy things these 'tweaky bars' i recommend everyone get one!

Honestly it literally took a couple of minutes to bend it all into position.it won't go there naturally.had i had more mechanic knowledge i might have tried something like this.took 4 hours Saturday got nowhere, dddid the passenger side in half an 15 mins including cutting the old one off.

Love the zone! :D :D :D
