Can anyone confirm if this is a pre-facelift front valance?

It is. Fog light apertures are for pre face lift lights.

Another Stupid question, this is the same as you would have even if you have a Tech 1 front bumper \ spoiler?

Remember there are two types, single and two piece, parts 7 & 8 below, taken from BMWfans.info

Part 8 only for later pre-facelift model, obviously different part numbers/look different to.

Thanks I did, but i was not 100% sure, Mines an 89 plate so I reckon its just part 8 in the image above.

With respect the wiki is wrong the earlier type front 2-piece pre-face valance is not shown, if i had a picture i'd post it up, hopefully it can be added for greater clarity.

The picture in my previous post depicts the earlier valance, which of course makes things a little cloudy for those trying to get the right one for their car.
