Bonnet rubber seal

Has anyone else replaces the rubber seal that goes along the top of the firewall?
Mine was allowing water to get into the engine compartment and battery tray (area which is prone to rust if you didnt already know).
If you have a spare boot rubber seal, i recommend you replace it with the bonnet one.
Now my seal goes all of the way to the front of the engine compartment, and it has also prevented any water getting in.

Just an idea.

Are you sure its the bonnet seal thats gone? Cause i had a leak in the same place,and it turned out to be a blocked
windscreen wash T piece.The're only about Ԛ£3 from a dealer,so worth replacing.
