Hello again... does anyone know what the clear/yellow-ish bottle type thing is in the off side near arch. It is hidden under the black plastic splash guard (along with a hell of a lot of rust) on mine. I need to remove it to get the rust sorted, but i'm not sure what it is and the best way to remove it... ? any help much appriciated. 8)

it's some kind of fuel vapour expansion tank i think.
Pretty useless imo.

i had a feeling it may be something to do with the fuel system. At a glance it looks like a rear window wash bottle, but um..... no rear wipers on E30's :D so thought i'd better ask.

It's a fuel vapour/vent collector tank. Joins together vent pipes from various parts of the fuel tank and filler and then connects to the vent pipe which ends up inside the strengthening structure for the front left suspension turret.
Held in place by a single 10mm hex self tapper at the front.
