What cleaning kits do people take to shows??..

I've seen people giving their cars a quick clean at shows, what exactly are they cleaning it with??

If you've done some motorway miles to get to this show, wont your car have dirt on it so in essence wouldn't you be causing more damage then good??

More often than not, there's a tap at the show, so I give it a quick rinse off, then spray in Auto glym aqua wax and wipe down with microfibres, unless it's still relatively clean then as above, Megs speed detailer or Autoglym rapid detailer buffed off with microfibres

My cars is Alpine Weiss II so it looks dirty even when its clean so I just clean the windscreen with some Autoglym stuff.

Black is the most amazing, beautiful colour to behold on a car when it's clean. Drive it for 10 minutes and it looks like utter shit.

And black interiors just look tidy. I like my interior to feel like a cave, I don't like all this airy open nonsense. Black helps with that.

I prep show cars and its best to have a good quality paste or hard wax, layered up of course to give the best protection and gloss, then simply wipe with QD spray or use a waterless car wash. remember to only use good quality microfibre cloths.

For the sceptical people waterless wash does work and doesn't scratch if used correctly, i am a detailer and valeter and use waterless wash and traditional methods, both work excellently if completed correctly.

Elite Car Care, I4Detailing, Autosmart, Juicy Detailing, Chemical Guys, Meguiars, all make good cloths, i have started using Autosmart Microfibres as they are good quality at a good price. The more you buy the cheaper they are, look on ebay for autosmart as there are some autosmart dealers who sell there and you can buy just about any qty.

I take a 5L pressure sprayer, lots of rags and a quick detailer and microfibre. By the time my car gets to the stand it's always covered in muck so the pressure sprayer and rags remove the muck and the detailer makes it shine.

Not that big, I'll be taking two to shows this year. Trick is to make sure there's pressure and it'll blast off fresh much from wheels, arches etc.

It rains every day in Scotland be by the time you've driven through the show ground to the stand, you need as much water as possible to clean up the bottom half of the car.

Best thing is a good quality Waterless wash and QD spray.

Waterless wash and ONR are a crock of shit.

If the car just has a little but if dirt/dust just go heavy with a QD, wipe the panel with a clean microfiber and turn it and wipe again with a clean side
Never wipe the panel again with the dirty side, so a good supply of microfibers is essential.

Of the car is dirty, a wash is the only safe alternative

I use waterless and Traditional 2 bucket method and waterless is great for a spruce up at shows and quick once over plus can be cheaper than QD spray.
