Hello Gents good evening.

From what I can see Corgi are shyte and Minichamps are expensive any other types I should be looking for?

Does anyone do 318is or tech 1 cars?

Not seen my car for about a month so wanting something to play with :)

Auto art all the way far better than minichamps if your not bothered about scale they do some nice 1:43 for about £30 each
Or the 1:18 models over £100 each min

From an E30 point of view (in 1/18 scale), couple of options as mentioned above:

Autoart - expensive but brilliant quality. M3s typically for for >£100 on ebay.

Minichamps - make the OE dealer models. Can get regular (non livery) M3s as well as touring car versions (Jagermeister, Tic Tac etc). Looking at £70-100 again.

Otto Models are resin (unlike diecast Minichamps/Autoart) which mean they don't have opening bits. Really nice quality apparently. They have a 325i coming out in March, preorder available. I've got one on order and will report back if it's any good.

The colourful M3 above is a BMW Art Car, made by Minichamps and brilliant quality. Comes in a very nice display case. NLA from dealers but they crop up on ebay from time to time.

I've got a couple of models:

Norev M1, Autoart 3.0 CSi, Autoart 2000 touring
Lichtenstein E21 320i Art car, Kayama E34 535i Art Car
E36 3er cabrio, E36 3er touring, 320 Grp 5, 3.0CSL, M1 Procar, E90 WTCC, Z4 GT

Autoart 635CSi Touring Car, Minichamps M3 GTR (street version), Kyosho Andy Priaulx WTCC 320i

A new addition: BMW Dealership Edition McLaren F1 GTR (made by UT models) in 1/18 scale.

Quite a nice model, but in all honesty it's no Autoart. Do love the originality with the proper box and original BMW parts & accessories sticker. Another one for the shelf but imo doesn't come close to my Lichtenstein 320i Art Car which is still my #1.

That's the one I was mentioning above. Looks like it'll be decent.

How do you rate the quality of the M3 cabrio? How do the resin models compare to the diecast metal equivalents?
