You got no chance of fitting it properly, you can spend a week bodging it to just about clear but even then you will have to live with the standard E30 p155 poor rack.
Beemerlad had one on his chromie 2.8 but soon got rid

I had one fitted on the touring with the M50 and then the M52.
Getting it to fit is a pain in the arse. You either have to get number 6 primary turned around so that it goes in the same direction as the others, or you have to give the corner of the bulkhead/transmission tunnel the good news with a hammer.
The lower sections of the manifold need modding a bit near the flanges in order to clear the anti roll bar, plus like Dan says, you are stuck with the E30 rack too unless the manifold is modded up.
They make a lovely raspy noise, but are not really worth the aggro and the modded M52 manifolds are the best way to go for the least outlay and least aggro.

If you look over my build thread of epic proportions, probably around page 20 onwards there will be some pics of the S50 mani I had.

thanking you sir ,
ill be trying the corsa c steering linkage , probably not advisable but my engine is raised aprx 15mm with solid box section engine mounts already .
And im not afraid to get the hammer out on the bulkhead so would modding no:6 be neccesarry if i beat it hard enough lmao (i would do it neat as possible
ill have a look at your thread now for the other clearances before i ask more . if i can get these cheap and when i say cheap i mean giving a drink it may be worth having a little play while saving for paint and roll cage parts .

You can beat the bulkhead like an animal as much as you want but it still wont make room for a proper steering rack

Problem is if you cut it up too much you will lose any of the slight gains the manifold offers.
I'm not even sure it will offer anything even if it fitted though.

I see what you are saying, but it's going to be a lot of effort as they need a lot of altering to fit and m52 manifolds are already pretty good
