I've recently aquired from my father an '87 E30 325i. (pre facelift chomie)

Now this car has isnt without its faults but has undergone a light resto in the last few years on the shell and underside, interior is a bit tatty however.

Passenger side door electrics are failing, abs light had recently come on after its been in storage :(

Needs a throttle cable as its a bit slack, just small little things really.

Heres a link to the topic on another forum I'm on so hopefully it'll work, if not I'll add pictures later.

http://www.focusstoc.com/forums/topic/1 ... 7-classic/

Basically I'm after knowing what its worth to sell, as a neighbour has asked what I'd take for it in cash, but wont come up with an offer until I come up with a price.

Any help would be appreicated.

Cheers
Rob

If it's a 2dr chromie 325 in solid condition then you should find a buyer quite easily, but you need to get your pics up on here :)
Also, don't sell - it's a cool car!

My father owned this for 12 last 12 years and he's in his 70s, so been looked after.

Has a biiiiiig book of receipts that I've not yet gone through.

And I honestly don't want to sell it, I want to keep it as a summer project to do a full resto, but the girlfriend and I are planning a house, and out of the cars it's the only logical one to sell, however if it doesnt sell then all is good :D

Looks a tidy thing, as far as value goes I'm not well up on pre facelift, but I'd say it's got to be at least £1500 with an MOT for a 2 door 325 if it's solid

really recognise that car, where are you based east london?

so far as value goes, there is a guide in the wiki which should help with a rough estimate,

2 door 325s are a nice thing though imo, dependent on rust anywhere from £500 upwards. like the colour though its rather

Sell the Focus, stick an M52 in the chromie with the proceeds and laugh as you pass Focus STs on the local bypass.
oh, and gain manhood points for RWD :)

And in ten years time, the E30 will be worth considerably more than it is now, whereas the Focus's value will depend entirely on the price of scrap steel at the time.

No, its crying out for an m20 2.8 stroker, which would at least look original externally. :)

+1 this is what I'm looking to do and later on supercharging it, or m50, better to keep the weight and balace for what the cats made for I think personally and better resale value.

Really? have I just lost my OEM Homo flat cap and barbour? :(
Well a stroker would be great, but if you're really worried about originality (and I doubt the OP is) then you can always keep the M20 in the shed slathered in grease.

Hi guys,

Literally not been started for well over a month at this point.

This one is on its return journey from Norwich to my place.

also just to note as most of you guys will know, the condensation from the exhaust is due to it having been stood a while. and only just warm at the time of the video.

cheers folks.

6 pots and RWD - you know it makes sense.... :)
Imagine how it would handle with 15" wheels and a suspension refresh.

It looks like you need to create a proper For Sale thread in the correct part of the Zone, based on your updates here. You'll need to include current pics and a proper price.

If you're not using this thread to sell the car, tell us what work the car needed to get through the MOT :D

People don't seem to understand you are trying to sell it to your neighbor, not keep it. Not sure why they have found it so hard to grasp :?

How badly does he want it? It looks clean, offer it to him for £2.5k and go from there. The worse he can say is no

To pass all it needed was a fog light switch :D

Also the neighbour moved so not heard anything back as of yet, but he only wanted it to sell on.

Car will most likely hit eBay tomorrow night.

Get some decent pics of it up in the for sale section in here including pics of the usual rust spots and it might go. Although there are a lot of time wasters on here so I can see the appeal of selling elsewhere.

Would love a nice chromie, cool chariot
