Dear All,
Yesterday I traded in my 21 year old E30 tourer for a 316i E46 Saloon. A sad day for me, but the repair bills and time needed were beyond my means at this time.
I would like to thank you all very much for help on this forum over 9.5 years of owning an E30. They are great cars.
As for the E46, well so far its exceeding expectations, with many hints of the E30...
So I'll often cast a long sideways look at your E30s. Happy drifting!

What year is the E46? You might have some even bigger bills appearing soon if its an N42 beast

Not to mention a rear subframe that tries to escape from the rest of the car, taking the boot floor with it! Don't think you've left rust behind either! Keep a close eye on the front wheel arches.
No need to leave the zone though. Many who have moved to newer BMW models find this is a better place to get technical advice on their new chariots than any internet forum specific to their model.

This is an M3 thats on its side having the underbody sealant stripped off, only one crack at the rear but there was one hiding under some sealer at the front too!

See the rusty outline, crap pic..

because you now own an E46 that is not a good enough reason to leave the zone, :)
