Do BBS wheels run on the same wheel nuts as bottle tops? Just wondering if they use a different length thread?

All BMW supplied E30 wheels use bolts.
From my own experience 14'' bottletop,14'' BBS,15'' BBS and 15'' style 10 all use the same bolt.

All the BMWs I've played with, of whatever model and wheel type, use exactly the same wheel bolt. A few variations in colour, and some have a dimple in the end, but all the same in the important dimensions.

regardless of the model/wheel fitment 4 or 5 stud they are all the same,
