I was just wondering if these would fit the e30? Seems like it would save a lot of hassle, messing about removing then pressing in new bushes etc.

Also how easy would these be to fit? In the wiki it mentions removing the ball joint that attaches the wishbone to the hub. Is that really necessary?

In theory, just unbolting the old, pulling it off and sliding on the replacement is all that is needed.

In practice, you will end up taking a blowlamp to the old to destroy the remains of the rubber and heat up the inner so that, hopefully,it just slides/falls off.Once again, you will most likely have to use a hacksaw to slice the inner off the end of the wishbone.

Then you need to get the nice shiney new bits on the old wishbone,so the end of the wishbone needs to be spotlessly clean, wet and dry paper/wire brush clean. Then soft soap(borrow the Ferrari liquid from the kitchen)on the wishbone and hope the new bush slides on square first time.Do not forget to remove oily paw marks from the washing up liquid bottle!

What those bushes will save, however,is the hassle of removing the old from the bracket and the battle to fit a new bush to your bracket.

However, your local BMW dealer will be able to order for you an E30 M3 eccentric bush, which gives far better steering turn in for a similar price, but you are back to the hassle of installing the bush into your bracket....

I'd be more tempted to pick up a pair of old lollipops from a scrapper, a pair of Meyle Eccentrics for about 10-15 quid, and pay beer tokens to a local mechanic to press them in.

Comparative money, same level of convenience and better end product.

Ten quid a pair (click me)

Thanks that was just the info i was after. I've read about the alternative bushes and havn't made my mind up yet, there are so many options when choosing parts! Im in no rush so might do it the longer - but better way. I've ordered tyres from poland before so would consider buying other parts there i guess. Thanks again.
