Auto box not engaging 4th :-(

Dudes,

Not been on for a while as I'm working away from home. Hope all's well..

My good lady's 325 auto is not engaging 4th gear in economy mode. Well, it does sometimes but it pops back to 3rd of it's own will. It's like it's in sports mode or somthing similar. Any ideas ? It's nearly due for a gearbox oil change....

I had a similar thing when i first got my cab - turned out that the wire had come out of the sport mode switch.

If that doesnt work - i have an excellent autobox available - pm me for more details!!

Ah ok, where is this wire that you speak of Fella ? Under the actual e/s/321 switch ?

yep - under the switch - had got unplugged for some reason!!

Right, have checked the fluid level which is sitting at halfway. Gonna top her up with Dexron II today to see if that makes a difference. The fluids nice and red so it looks good.

Argos, any idea where this ECU is on a touring ? I'm assuming it's the wee black box in front of the rear washer bottle on the nearside ? Cheers...
