Well, that highly instructive video shows you how to bodge the two red leads into your MAF sensor wiring with some dodgy looking soldering and insulation tape, but mysteriously omits to demonstrate what the RS232 socket actually goes to!
Hmm...

i'd love to see what's actually inside.
a bare socket not connected to anything at all?
a single resistor?
or a proper circuit board with various chips to look authentic but not actually connected to anything other than maybe a single resistor?
cheers,
harry

Yes, I think you're probably spot on there, Harry.
I suspect the D-type connector inside the box has a single resistor strapped across it.
So, they're asking £70 for a unit made of a sum of parts totalling about £3.99.

Oh, indeed - quivering before the almighty powaah of the 'Digital Chipbox'!
I like the way they provide a couple of Schotchloks so you can make a right royal bodge of the installation as most buyers probably will.

i just bought one and its brilliant, an extra 35 horsepower and much better driving dynamics. But i was clever and fitted this, the electric turbo, the resistor and i fit an electric turbo in antiphase fitted to the end of the exhaust to suck the gasses out of the engine, kind of a twin turbo effect. i also fit go faster stripes and i fold the back seat down and mirrors in. now my e30 has about 260hp and is very fast.
does anyone else have any nice stories?

You mean you hit 88mpg and suddenly you were in a retro chariot and feeling a little out of place in 2013?
