Matching seats and door cards?

Does anyone know if these would have been the original matching door cards for these seats? Even though the seats are like a light grey colour and the cards are like a charcoal grey and black colour? Im half tempted to make a bid, but i think the existing doors cards i have got in my 318i would be a better colour match for them seats. Anybody got any ideas?

doubtful, but they will match, i had cream leather in a 4 door which had corresponding cream leather (vinyl) door cards. id suspect the grey leather should have the same.

Thanks mate. Thats what i thought. I got id say very similar grey colour door cards to these seats in my 318i at the moment but their vinyl. Even though there not leather i think they would be a better colour match. Petsonalky id prefer to have a better colour match and sacrifice having matching material. Hmmmm might have to make a bid, they do look nice. Just imagining them in my baby now when shes all clean and polished!

no probs mate, id also be giving the seats a nice clean and treat with some gliptone, keep them in nice condition.

They sound like the correct doorcards for the leather seats in that ebay add. True leather doorcards are incredibly rare, only coming in some M3s and Motorsport cabs and would probably cost more than those seats will sell for.

Sorry mate this might just be me being a retard, but im a bit confused. So you mean that it sounds like my cards would probarly be the matching ones for them seats. You dont mean that the cards in the advert are the ones that match them seats? Sorry to be a pain. Just want to make sure because i might make a bid!

the cards in the advert are most likely none original, the vinyl ones you have in grey will most likely be what was supplied originally.

the cards that are in the advert normally came with sports cloth seats or comfort cloth.

as magpie says above, grey vinyl is correct.

they look nice, between about £200-£250, there was a chap on here selling a set same colour etc for about £180 though called MO, most likely gone now though.

like most things mate worth what someone will pay, ebay prices tend to go abit higher than normal but thats due to the huge audience i think.

I dont even want the door cards, so just rang them and said can the seats be sold seperatley and they said no. So no dout if i want them im going to have to pay a small fortune for the whole lot, with door carda i dont want, then have to sell the cards just to get the seat. Gutted!

As said above, door cards are wrong type AND colour. The seats are a retrim and appear to be lighter in colour than the 'silver grey' that E30 leather seats were available in. It is also worth noting that the rear seat base is for a four door, hence the rounded off corners.

shark grey isn't up there with black so i'd want a bargain or some black ones .

I love this forum. I gave learnt and found out so much from it! Cheers for your help pete. So you rekon they are a re trim yea pete? Mind you it wouldnt suprise me because they are in bloody good nik. So would the rear seat still fit it a 2 door coupe even though its from a 4 door originally?

Erm to be honest rich im not really that fussed leather or not. I mean yea in an ideal world id love a mint set of black leather with matching cards, but im open to suggestions. It more depends on price, quality/condition, colour, matching cards, and how far i have to travel to get them. So what you got? Talk to me. Im all ears. Seduce me lol
