BTB3 m50 idea

Long story why, but I have a new BTB 3 manifold sat in my garage doing nothing. Just came up with an idea.

Does anyone know how different the flanges/exhaust port alignment is of an m50? My thinking was the primaries on the btb are designed for a 2.5, the m50 is a 2.5 so I imagine it could work very well. Basic thinking was chop off the m20 flange and weld on an m50 one, adjusting any difference in the spacing with some heat.

What are your thoughts?

I have often thought of this but using a cheaper stainless manifold to test . As shite as they are a hottuning one .
All this would surely be a better alternative if possible .

Does someone have both to marry up ??

Just realised I think I have a spare set of m52 manifolds in the garage somewhere. I'll have a look tomorrow

Had a look through the garage and I have misplaced my other set of manifolds.

So does anyone know what the differences are? Don't fancy taking the manifolds off for the 4th time

IMO the bends are too close to the head, due to the difference in engine angle and the width of the heads you will have to chop the primaries too much

I hadnt thought about the engine angle either ! , still be interesting to continue researching .
