i remember that about the freezer !

one of my funniest memories as a kid, a mate across the road who was about 3 years older than us got a brand new blue/yellow burner on his birthday, all us about 6, him about 9, we were all amazed/jelous by it, what a bike

he made a load of us all line up at the bottom of the hill, said im going to show you a trick called an endo ! he came flying down the hill slammed on the front brake....and did about 6 cartwheels right in front of us and both him and the bike ended up completley mangled, broke his arm and all sorts, funny as fook il never forget that

i remember riding it and doing massive skids by trapping a old piece of laminated chip board under the back wheel and skidding for 50 yards .. those were the days!! lol

Now, that's a very proper track bike - fixed wheel, I presume? Where did you race it - Herne Hill velodrome?

I had a productive day yesterday fitting the steering column and refitting one of DanThe's steering links.

Think I'll have a crack at wiring tomorrow. Might even fire it up for the first time in a while

Correct ha, brakes are expensive, break all the time, dont fit over fat tyres and can impale you if you fall. Replacing shoes is expensive though.....
