Just thought it would be Interesting to see what it went for, given the debates on here. I mean that had a few niggles, who knows how much brown stuff there is lurking and theres 147k on it

Looked ok, late plate. What were the known issues with it?

are in the glove box.
It does have the common E30 water leaks. As we are no longer able to keep the car under cover, this is one incentive for the sale. The following links can help:

A slight whine has always been prevalent from the back.
The central locking has been playing up. The electric sun roof works OK.
The windscreen wipers need an extra flick of the switch in order to self park.
There are minor blemishes on nearly every area that are impossible to outline in detail. I must stress that this car needs an enthusiast in order to either restore to excellent

Well, someone thinks its worth the time and effort...
Thanks for that.

To be honest it probably is worth that. It just amazes me the amount of sport haters that don't see the worth in them, and whilst this isn't bad it's not a prime example and has gone for good money, so they must be worth more than a lot zoners seem to think

I agree. Sports are quite sought after.

Looking at the carpet in the front footwells there has been recent activity there.

There seems to be what looks like a rusty scab by the wiper arm? Having read the description, apart from the water leaks and the damage they may have done, the other problems stated can't be too expensive to fix. Sounds like a new paint job will be needed, too.
Kedge, how/where did you see the carpets?!

Oh yes, thanks. Probably needs a lot of welding. I guess the seller also knows this....

And it looks like its been cut by the throttle pedal, the bodged way to access the footwell for an equally bodged repair as a rule.sag wrote:Zoom in on The picture Where you Can see the passenger side footwell. The carpet has been pulled back at some point or the moulding has come offGert_8 wrote:

So someone's paid four bags for a 325i with a ropey old LSD and the Sieve Edition chassis.
This only reinforces my belief that people who buy Sports "because it's a sport" are mugs.

We used to talk about 'M tax'.Grrrmachine wrote:So someone's paid four bags for a 325i with a ropey old LSD and the Sieve Edition chassis.

But 'sport tax' seems to apply as well.
That kit hides the rot so well, that one above looked quite decent in the piccies!
This price tag seems right
We all knew the prices would rise for decent to good sports
Excellent sports with low mileage are going for 7-10k now
So it makes sence the average to high mileage will be priced between £2500 - 5k
