I'm sure he will update once he has it in his possession with a full insight into how good/bad it really is.
Looks a really nice original example so should be a good one with very little work if any to bring it up to standard.
Good luck with it.

My experience of the BK 17's is they do feel heavy, and suffer horrendously with tramlining. When the car reappears it will be on 16's

next upload shows the prep work and interior after it was stripped out to check for suspected patch up works...happy to report its clean. Wheels were re done, chassis stripped and treated for rust and powder coated where we could, the suspension will be changed but at a later date as its fine right now.
Still undecided on the wheels...16's (originals) would be the way to go I suppose, enjoy the photos...33 coming up on next post!!

The car was totally stripped, including all the lights, grill, bumpers, trim, Mtech kit.
Wiring looms inside the car have been re sleeved and cable tied uniformly so that its all neat and tidy under the carpet.
Lights were cleaned thoroughly and re fitted, grill and all the other black items re coated in a satin finish and re fitted. The Mtech kit and bumpers have been painted on the inside too so that it matches the cars exterior...didn't like the exposed primar finish that was exposed when we removed the kit.
All I need now is the new exhaust..I ordered a genuine system from BMW South Africa and its on its way to me...next week hopefully

I'll probably redo the interior with leather (including door panels) but not now...its a mint interior, the only reason for doing the leather will be down to the fact that the cloth seats look bland..

Ordered the black screws for the grill and side indicators...didn't want to paint the existing ones as the Karcher would have blown away the paint after a week! All the clips and other small items like fuses etc have been changed with genuine items from BMW, including the foam inserts on the reverse side of the bonnet...
