Also forgot to ask; how did that bit around the breather pipe in the boot go?

I wasn't there when he finished the drivers side so have no pics of it being done, He eventually talked me into letting him plate it :o: but said if I'm still not happy with it he will redo it when back from OZ and has more time. if we didn't get the rest finished by today he wouldn't have had any more slots left for me, so I told him to crack on.

I'd rather have replicated Scott's repair but to be honest he's made a neat job of it and I don't think once the arches are finished it'll be that noticable. Its the only bit I'm not 100% happy with but its reversible, plus I know its there and can keep an eye on it, unlike the shock horror I got when lifting the carpets last year!

And we both forgot about those arch liner tags today too, I foolishly binned the old bits when he'd made the templates. already spoke to my mate round the corner and will be tacking some on soon, only a minor setback :D

Those tabs won't take long to put in. All in all cracking work. I keep meaning to have a look on scott's repair. Well done again.. :D

Its been a while so I thought I'd give a little update.

Progress has slowed since the welding due to working extra Saturdays and a boozy weekend away in Riga, Latvia.

Spent a few hours in the garage on Saturday, finally got the correct rear floor bungs (after falling foul of the realoem partnumber error which landed me with fuel pump cover! :o: )

The carpet has now been shampoo'd, scrubbed and jetwashed. Its currently sitting in my bathtub and drying surprisingly fast. Must have got 3 litres out of it with a carpet vac after washing, the water was minging even though the carpet looked pretty mint beforehand!

Rear floorbungs are in and the floor is primed ready to be sealed tonight, then I'll be painting and lacquering it Weds night.

I've got Thursday off work to install sound deadening, amp + speaker wiring before Jim and Kedge come over on Sunday to help/watch me attempt to get the carpet and dash back in, Phase one is coming to an end finally!

Latvian 4 dr Chromie spotted in a moment of sobriety, diggin those wheels

Looking good Mat.

You need three flavours of tea.

Lady Grey
Earl Grey
Yorkshire Tea

Cheap tea is a Crime. It's made in Romania!

So what's is actually on the job list for Sunday? Need to prepare some suitably unhelpful tips and tricks for while me and Jim are spectating!

We should just be focusing on carpet and dashboard mate, I've got the Dynax S50 gently warming up ready for cavity action, then once the floor is finished / painted I'm gonna have a little sort out and make sure everything we need for Sunday is ready at my dads garage, half of the car is still in my own garage
