Forgive my ignorance, but is the Zone not going to be 10 years old at some point in 2013?
Any plans to mark this milestone?
(Sorry if I'm totally wrong here)

Two headblenders, couple of bags of MC Hammer, 5 litres of FFF, a 48ft bastard, a box of jumped-up custard and some soggy chimps

I joined April 2004 and Simon13 a week or 2 after. I can't think of too many other regular users left from the very early days. Ziggy shows his face from time to time and he joined quite early too I think.pony wrote:What is the difference between the old Zone site and the new Zone site?

Splondike!
andyboy was MasterBates in those days!
i remember the forum was about a year old by the time i signed up. Took me months to work out what a forum was! used to get excited by the forsale ads as when you searched anything e30 back then the zone used to always come up in the searches.

there was plenty, Jayson was ripping people off at the time. The retards got shot down back then. Now they're left to flourish, membership numbers were alot less then i guess.

Think I joined runboard around April '04 but didn't post a lot. It's changed a lot since then, as have peoples ideas, there weren't any of these tramps drift freaks about then, used to be a lot more meets so more people knew each other in person and things were nipped in the bud much sooner so didn't escalate how they do now.
Didn't they ban any mention of that Chipped UK guy?

Chipped UK was in the swear filter for years so it didn't show up on the forum iirc. Most of the animosity wsa before my time, I think he was banned when I joined up.Kedge wrote:

This sums it up well.Cloggy Saint wrote:The old runboard forum was a nicer place to be. Just a couple of thousand members meant minimal arseholes and more of a "community" feel.

I wasn't and had a nice drive around the valleys with various other welsh miscreants in E30's
