Just had my car paint strippered, the screen forward needs paint
I know who it was (they will be hurt later)
Police cant do anything as theres not any evidence but I have a reference number
Is it worth claiming, im with direct line, cant afford to loose my no claims but not fussed about an excess.
Or bite the bullet and get it painted?
Not really sure how it works

Just be carefull about reporting it to your insurer and not claiming as someone else found out on here a few months back as it still goes against you even if you dont claim

Unless this car has an agreed value, then needing any significant paint will render it a Cat C write off, so all you'll get is the book value of the car, less buy back price, less excess, a marker on the car reducing its future value, the need for a VIC at VOSA, and increased future insurance premiums. Report nothing.
Vehicle insurance should be though of as simply something you need to get an excise licence.

Sounds like everything that has had some paint stripper action is a bolt on part.
Not worth the aggro going through your insurer as outlined by Brian.

I'd make up to him and hand your sister/brother/shetland pony over immediately, before this situation gets out of hand..
