I've taken trim of my front and rear bumpers for spraying plus grills unfortunately I've broken quite a few fixing supports will they still hold with only a few left or should I be trying to find new ones

Well this is a council fest.
Yes of course you can bodge it with superglue, but why not do it properly for the sake of a few quid?

Just buy good secondhand parts. Using superglue would be about the worst thing you could use to stick them back with as well.

Thats what I thought, if thats the case then has he damaged the rubber/plastic trim itself? If so, is it a pre or facelift car? And is it both front and back?daimlerman wrote:Reads like the OP has levered the trim bits off without first removing the bumper to squeese the tabs in to me...Jim320i wrote:Which parts have you broke exactly?

It's the plastic trim which you have to take of to remove the bumber the fasteners have been snapped ill just get the bloke to give them a scan if knackered hope he can get me a cheap set you boys think just a spot of glue to hold it is a bad idea I'm not going to drowned it in the stuff

The little squares?? They are about 90p from BMW.
Super glue becomes brittle, you'd be better off using somekind of silicon sealer if you have to resort to sticking them in place.

What you need is a haynes manual and a few days in the wiki section. You're not the first and won't be the last. You can pick up bumper trim on here if you look often enough.Jamboree wrote:Daimlerman that's what I did levered of the trim with screwdriver I'm a novice carnt you telli thought you had to take that trim off to remove the front bumber 1988
