This seems to be the 'easier' way to fit a cage! I love how its not even straight!

Im fitting a cage at work to a MK2 golf at the minute and I've cut the roof off.

Only to put a carbon roof on :wink:

I wouldn't say it's under the bonnet given how high it is!
No build thread that I could find these where only photos that had been posted

They go in similarly to a e30 m60 spec however the sump causes issues, just like a m5*/s5* does in a e30 just the other way round!

Most builds I have seen the engine is raised for clearance

Thats why i asked if there was a build thread. :) and your right the height of it i bet the sump is sitting on the crossmember. 8O

I wonder if they are transplanting a used cage from a crashed car?

Easier to cut relief flaps on the floor and drop the corners of the cage low enough to get to the top parts.
