Hi, my car spent the week at the body shop to get the body kit repainted. I did a walk around before I paid and found that where my tech 1 sills were secured by hex screws at each end it is no more and sealant haven't been reapplied. It feels very solid but eh! How should the sills be secured?

Plus I can now poke all my fingers between the rear valance and the original car below the bumper, from the back rear arches. I did ask them to have it fitted properly as it was a bit off but now it look odd..

I did knock the price down and got sealant from them but I wonder if the rear valance is fitted properly, I may have a missing part? The previous owner, in all his wisdom, fitted the thing onto the car so I have no reference and I never fitted a kit. Here's some pics from today..

might be wrong here, but that dont look like a tec one kit (with expeption of the skirts) and secondly your e30 is a facelift by the looks of it so it would require major bodging to get the tec 1 kit on there :?:

Never said its a tech 1 kit, I said tech 1 sills. They sit nice and tidy. The front lip and rear valance are to complete the look, some kind of replica style.

Questions were:

1- How are the sills secured, if you have those or have taken them off a scrapper, tell me. No need to share assumptions. Its a technical fact.
2- How should the rear valance sit, is there a cover or something is not clipped in? (both sides are the same)

sorry i misread your orininal pos

1. the side skirts are held on with clips normally and are available from the dealers.

2. the rear valance should sit flush with no gapping holes,

is stand by my previous post, that that kit is just a bodge job!

Thanks, I think the body shop f*cked up for sure, no way it sat like that before as i haven't noticed anything dodgy there. I'm hoping to be able to sort it myself, if not I'll go back there to deal with it but that is a hopeless course I'm sure.
