Hi Guys/Gals

I'm having way too many probs with my auto. If it's not at its end now it will soon be I'm sure.

This seems like a good time to consider a manual conversion.

I've found lots of info on the forums re the conversion but I'm finding it difficult to put it all together.

Has anyone compiled a DIY guide by chance? Including parts, tools etc. required.

I have a family member who owns a scrapyard so I could get everything I need from there at reasonable prices. Problem is he's 1200km away, so I should know exactly what I need before I arrange transport.

Please guys.

Thanks mrlee

But I've already got that one. It's for LHD cars. Apparently not completely correct for us RHD okes.

What about looking at this guide and posting your opinions on what should be done differently?

as far as i know nothing different, i have a lhd so not an issue for me!! sorry!! but to help in the spirit of crimbo you will need to weld a small bracket to hold the clutch fluid reservior if you are converrting a RHD but simple stuff really. the rest is all the same, i have been reliably informed there are various bearings to be changed (Spigot bearing etc) and i would go for a new clutch plate and maybe springs. If you are getting stuff from a scrappers then you will also need a master and slave cylinder refurb kit as the seals die and leak fluid.

the rest is the same

try to PM brian mooore he has done a few and has been exrteamly helpful to me (and always right!!)
