They are chancing their arm for sure. You only need one victim and there are very few cars of that quality around.
I am currently trying to convince some saddo that his, tatty but not terminal, polaris with anthracite buffalo M635 is £1500 worth. He is coming around

Bit of a bubble developing with some classic cars at the moment-i understand the economics behind their attractiveness as investments but bubbles have a habit of bursting.

Don't knock the Morris - this year marks the centenary of the marque, and values are sure to skyrocket! A Morris 8 may well reach the giddy heights of 8 shillings and six pence...pacerpete wrote:B7 wrote:Don't like red leather. Sorry.

Love the term "Spotless" used in the add.
Look at the driverside bolster, lovely and SHINEY, yet the rest is matt, so there's a start to the "Tarting up" of the 6

If you Got "Haters",Then your doing something Right!

That will be stunning no doubt about it!
When you've seen some of the E24 scrap i have (quite a bit up petes passage!) then nothing compares to low mileage original cars like this.
No doubt this will be as good if not better than the alpine white with lotus white 17k miles highline i had the pleasure of a few years ago.

I have seen this in the flesh albeit only from the outside when in the show room. This and the Z3 M Coupe S54 and the E30 M3 Sport Evolution would be the only cars I take home.
A M635CSi is defo in my top 10 dream BMW collection and IMO up there with e46 m3s, e30 325i sport in my mind in terms of desire ability. Shane this one is not a HighLine or the even rarer HighLine Motorsport .... But surely this is better than 99.9% of high lines. Never liked the 6 series when I was a kid but since 2001 I really started to like them especially the m635 because sooooo rare, fast, cosseting comfort and loads of modern creature comforts more than good enough for the 2001 era of cars with more than enough technology on board .... And marks u out as a bit of a connoisseur compared to 99.9% of bruvs in m3s, e30 325s or whatever they drive
Mind u there is a saying only worth what the buyer pays .... Surely this is up there with a e30 m3 sport Evo, e9 3.0 CSL genuine bar mobile in terms of desire ability ...: even if the m6 doesn't have the racing heritage the 635 had ????

I see that car is suffering from Munich Legends Tax.

Yeah, but Dan's seriously minted. He just bought Johnny Ceccotto's M1 road car that he had painted Macao blue to match his E30 M3 - Dan bought that as well I believe. If a 3.0 CSL is worth 60 grand, a superb M635CSi is worth 45. I doubt they're in a rush to sell it.

E24 M635CSis normally went for low £20Ks, back in March 2012, according to this article on Munich Legends:

When I went there I saw and have photographs of that M1. I can send to Barry to put on here including the signature of Cecetto should u wish to see ?Andyboy wrote:Yeah, but Dan's seriously minted. Stuart who was showing me the M1 said the paint was original and the way to tell on m1s is because of the ripples on the fibre lass body. Even though is original he said more customers admire their red m1 which I think been repainted. He said Cecetto m1 was going to a private collection. I didn't realise going to owner dan's collection. He must be minted. He must really enjoy his job though sharing his passion with his work and ML seems like a thriving business with a good name and brand these days.

The M1's were built 1978 to 1981 and Macao blue arrived long after that. I'd imagine it was colour changed in the late eighties.
