amonst a load of other parts, i bough a new tech 1 side stripe kit today £40 8O

does anyone know whats actualy included in the "kit" ? im not sure what to expect , i think i read somewhere it came in a fancy box or something, but just wondered why they call it a kit, and if its just more than a couple of rolls of striping ? or is it perfectly pre cut in the sections , does anyone know ?

sounded expensive, but hey ho had to be done, hope its worth it

lol , im not sure what to expect , £40 for 2 rolls of stripe that could be got on ebay for like £2.99, will be a bit of a bump 8O then again it cant really be anything more , im hoping it will be the 2 stripes on 1 roll ready to put straight on, and enough to do the car twice over at least ?

The M3 bumper tape I got a few years back was £50+ 8O

Just the bumper tape and no room for a cock up! Luckily it was in BMW so I got the bodyshop to fit the tape and if they cocked up then they replace

 the painter is doing mine, when i pick it up, along with the foam im taking it up there, hopefully it will be painted by then, that way if he cocks up either, hel have to replace :D , im sure he wont tho hes not a clown

£40 for stripes is 8O im just hoping its worth it, or at least much better quality than ebay tape ? and well worth getting

Standard 3M stripe kit in the correct colours would have done the job nicely for a tenner.

Carl, you've been striped.........

They all have/had mate ,different colors, all lachs had a black and silver/grey stripe (dekor kit 7 )

I know that pete, but least they will be exact original and genuine

No topless that's the m tech stripes, lachs tech are pin stripes

Motor factors about £3 then :D

my mate "Gary the stripe" used to make a small fortune back in the late 80's early 90's with his pinstripe kit ( a box with lots of rolls of stripes) !

he used to go around all dealerships sticking em on when the Go faster stripe was all the rage :D

Anyone got any examples of E30's with nice stripings on them? I quite like the idea of an E30 in full battle gear stripes :D

BMW fitting intructions (for M-Tech ones but it's the same really..) here to avoid a ten page head-scratch about where/how to put them on!

Kedge is that info 100% ? I thought lachs cars had dekor kit 7 it was discussed on here a while back ? Black|grey not metallic|silver kit 6

On the wiki list kege, would the 1st color be the lower or the upper stripe ?

I will update that page actually as ALL the stripes are meant to be metallic, the fact I've then only typed metallic next to some of the colours might add some confusion.

I though that they were dealer fit and so you could have ordered any coloyut stripes on any car, despite BMW's charts.

Anyway, I love mine, they make it "period" 8)

If I ever get my paintwork sorted I will also get original stripes:

Effing great, just found out that my photo hosting site no longer allows hotlinks......

Have you bought the wrong kit Polsta? :?
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

If that's the case tho kedge it would mean kit 6 and 9 would be the same ?

We could save a lot of time maintaining the Wiki if we just locked Andy in the Wiki cupboard. Just saying, like....
