what are these for??

guys wondering if any of you guys can help me out...
ive found some wheel arches in our attic when my dad worked for sytners bodyshop
these are from back in the late 80s to early 90s
stamped bmw with a part number

any ideas?
i thought e30ix but the ix ones seem to be more chunkier and go further around the arch down to the sill?

Definately not E30. More than likely E28 arch lips that go with the nasty M technic bodykit or E24 M635 lips.

Are they chrome or meant to take paint? Pete's probably right; either E28 M-Tech arch spats, or the same from an E24..

Agree with Sheila, they look to be from M535i arches.

lol yeah i kinda figured they wern't e30 ones but wasnt too sure
does the e28 not have a deep ridged sort of arch? im guessing these wouldnt fit that because of the nature/ shape of the arch on the body of the e28?
i will go check a few pics on PH quickly

okies i cant flag up any pics of these fitted but the e28 looks like a very good candidate for these ...i was wrong about the shape of the arch lol
they are painted lachs and are supposed to be body colour
