After the Brighton meet last night a chap came over to me and said 'Do you want some BBS cross-spokes?'

I said maybe.....The result is this...

I picked up four 15" BBS cross spokes from him today, with very nearly new directional GT :? tyres, but they look ok, loads of tread.

The wheels seem straight and have been poorly refurbed, but come with centre caps, although without the BMW badges.

50 squid!

Happy bunny me!! More rubber to burn!! :)

They would have done for me from Donnington...

Just fitted the stainless exhaust... sounds a bit better now... but while sat up in the air getting it fitted, the cooling system decided to pour all it's water out over the floor. Nice.

I was hoping for a smooth and quick route home, but ALL the roads were jammed packed! Bloody typical. Only just made it home... needle was getting worryingly high on the old temp guage... another job to do before Donnington... will it ever end?

I don't think it's THAT loud TBH... the loudest thing about it is the vibrating tail pipe against the rear valance!

Not really bothered about that... it's only a track car, not as if it's used everyday.

Would have been good to hear it without the front box... I bet it WAS loud then!

These aren't minters, but they aren't too bad, someone has had a go at respraying them, not very well!

The best thing however, is the tyres which must have done all of 100miles!

They are great!

ACTUALLY Russ, your wrong mate, they are bloody good tyres!!!
If ya remember, i had a set on my grey 325 when i first took charge of it. They are pretty grippy at 30-32psi but if you want to get he arse out, stick 34psi in them and boot it round corners. Really controlable. DEFFINATELY worth the Ԛ£35 a tyre or whatever it is for 205/55/15s.

Dave, thats a bargain mate. If you want rid of the tyres or prefer something else, gimme a shout, i love them!

i've just put my bbs's back on my sport, they are fantastic, car is faster, gives better mpg, easier to control arse end styleeeee, and generally drives alot better than the 16 pina's. It's a shame they don't look as good IMHO, but alas i have 2 centre cap and no kerbing!

I'll probably be keeping hold of these,

I've just finished changing the springs back to the -40mm and I've put on the BBS's. My god the car is SO much nicer to drive.

I can't drift as easily with these as I could with the 17's, there's not enough grip at the front now, but it still can be done. It drives very nicely with these 15's. The tyres aren't bad, they are almost brand new, and still have the red dots and lines on them! Ԛ£50, still can't believe it!

I'm hoping to get the LSD on tomorrow morning before the meet.

I'm going to the Specialists for 8am to get some new LSD oil.

If you wanna be shocked by the lack of power Karan, then be my guest!

Even if I do have the LSD on, unless it's wet I don't have the power to drift!!

Maybe a light coating a drizzle would be good for some fun!!

Can't wait to get the 2.5 engine in  :)

I'd best get practising then huh?!

Dunno about drift guru :? But thanks!

I have a Ԛ£5 cigarette lighter pump Russ, it's great, just takes for ever to pump up the tyres!!

I think Karan holds the drift guru title! (for the time being  :) )

unfortunately i no longer hold the title as i cant hold the back end out for long on these woosung tyres, as they feel wallowy as sh1t even on the 44psi i run them on----does any drift god think this is too high for drifting, as on the toyos i had 40 psi was fine and then i really felt like the drift guru, imran and wil have seen these bad boys in action!!

im getting jhonnos old steelies which should be amusing

oh yeh dave.... i made that cd for ya, with the german boys drifting and my own little vid (which actually only has one goopd bit on it-lol)

Cheers mate, be good to watch that!

I have never run pressure quite that high, I would have thought 35/36 psi would be good, anything more than that and you would get hardly any sidewall flex, something which I find useful when drifting!

320's aren't 'slow' but the 2.5 has that nice extra pull to it. If you really thrash the sh1t out of it, it can shift!
