Jacking pads FTL!
If mine had rust they wouldnt be going back on, if I was being fussy I would just fit a small bracket to screw the arch liner to, nothing else is needed, Amen 8)

By the off chance, do you know how much weight it would hold?

Keep thinking to myself I need something similar, fed up of laying on the cold ground or turning the breakers on their side by myself. Also want something I could use to replace the wheels and cart them around a bit easier, as well as not have to leave the struts/rear beam until the last minute and miss on sales when people are after them
Just tip it on its side Jim, Ghetto style. :)

Thats what I d with all of them, but I dont have anyone at hand with me when i'm doing it so its a dangerous process of jacking it up off bmw jacks on wood... Lots of wood, 2 jacks, 1 side getting higher than the other each time. Then depending on how stripped the shell is I can usually lift it up and over onto its side, but if it still has its engine in then I have to get a car to pull it on its side... Would just be nice to be able to spin the fooker on the spot.

@Kedge - You seen how much crap I have... Thats why it all remains on them for so long, else I would run out of space :D Plus, i'm never in a rush!

Unfortunately there isnt, the last place wasnt a working farm. We've moved now too, althugh there is a farm up the road a bit, dont know anyone well enough to ask yet. Plus I like the idea of not having to rely on others to get things done

I'll have to disagree with you there as would many.

You telling me, for example a completely original unmolested E30 M3 is gay? I think not and these ones that will come more valuable and sought after. Fact!

Nothing says 'I've been rusty and repaired' quite like missing jacking pads. It would make me question the standard of the other resto work.
In the case of Diddlers Moredoor, Beardymatt did the work so I know it was done right. Anyone else though........

Matt, you have a lovely front lawn... Do you trim it yourself or does Nancy do it?

I prefer your car without the jacking points. Looks much better

Mick.
Rear arches are all present / body coloured and minter than a colgate colonic.

I did opt for the Mmmmmm badge ashtray delete Mick :o:

And I took the rear one off the bootlid too but couldn't bring myself to remove the front badge. I really like the contrast against the satin black kidney grill

With this and your non factory jacking points, according to zone law, you should be Hanged by the neck until you are dead...

Once the pads were removed, I stapled them onto the tourings undercarriage so you can have extra kudos when you pick it up this weekend.

Barry I apologise and have amended my post accordingly, completely original/unmolested/mint cars belong in museums :D

Anything used often enough on the road will need repairing/molesting at some point

You can clearly see in the 'after' photo that due to the weight loss of the jacking pad delete that it is at least 8 inches higher than before, has completely ruined the camber angles and now, because of your smooth jacking points there will be at least 999999ft/lb of lift creted thus flipping the car over once above 90mph. Be careful :D
