Tracing Previous Owners

Can anyone give me any ideas how I can go about tracing the history/owners of my car.

I'm going to try and get hold of the previous owners to have a go at hunting down as much history as possible.

I know the owner before me but how can I go back further to the original purchaser etc.

I belive you can send the DVLA a small score and they can send you info.

but going back all them years, most will have probably moved, dbout anyones actualy got/kept any history, but if your lucky you may get an owner who cared for/thinks fondly of the car and can tell you about it and maybe some photos ! imagine getting pics of your car from back in the day, that would be magic

That's the plan. I will try the DVLA on Monday if there not snowed in!

Contact BMW, if its been serviced by them, they'll have it on record.
