Wen I bought my car it came with a clifford alarm and remote locking. I havent a clue whether this was facory or aftermarket. Im guessing its aftermarket. Anyways the other day it just stopped working. Then it worked once and since then it aint worked again. The light still lights up on the remote so it isnt a flat batytery. Also when I use key the boot does not unlock when i unlock the car. Is this a relay or something? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Check out this article for basic fault finding on the central locking - the aftermarked alarm imho should be disconnected until you get the central locking sorted out...............

Thanks. Will have a look. Im not sure if the central locking is faulty tho. Just the remote locking really. Have you any idea where the remote locking sensor would be mounted or attatched to?

Alarm connection points are all behind/above the glovebox, but if it's an aftermarket fittment, installed with all the finesse and skill that most of them seem to be, then it could be anywhere.
Right at the connector to the locking ECU below the drivers footwell speaker is a favourite connection point for the bodgers.
