I prefer the 17's,you can get genuine 17" alpinas,but they'll
Set you over grand, the 17" alloys in that picture, are made by bk
You can pick a mint set up for under £300

That's my house in Leicester!! I'm in Malawi....as I have businesses out here!
After 2 weeks of stripping, detailing and works on any unforeseen issues the car will be containerised and shipped to Malawi where the sun shines all day long....and we dont have rust issues here!! and it will be kept safely in a garage so that the sun doesn't burn the body work and crack the dash. Temps out here get as high as 40 degrees +
I note in the ad that the car has A/C . Dare I say, that's a necessity where it is going, does it work ?
Best of luck and lets hope it is not a tonced up turd as most are at this stage

that looks really nice, am sure it will need some "tarting up" but have to say it does look a nice example. A/C also, very nice.

You can get 17" 4 stud Alpinas. They were used on Alpinas take on the Z1, the RLE. A zoner by the name of senna has a set available IIRC for 2k + . Lots of money BUT where else will you find a set ?

Unfortunately I only found the zone after i bought a shitter sport for too much money. If only there was a zone telepathy section to help non members thinking of buying an e30. Will poss not buy a kitted car again unless was allowed to remove kit before buying and the chances of that are slim.
This said the add for this car says all the right stuff so I hope this ones good for you. Looks tidy bud. If straight its a good bit of bmw history there

Enjoy the poor ride of the 17s. Those BK wheels are nasty, very heavy and best avoided on a nice car like yours.

That’s a totally different car to an e30 though mate, in my honest opinion the largest wheel size that also gives good handling and ride is 16inch. As top blag says, 17s give a pretty poor ride.

I know the E90's a totally different ride mate, I just wanted Indy to have a look at my ride! As for the 16's17's...I'll see what to do after my sport been inspected and see how much (if anything) I have to fork out for any possible repairs to rusted areas...

Like your thinking. From what Riz was saying in other posts they seem to go for twice the price over there though

Probably because they didnt have the scrappage scheme and obviously the weather.
I was thinking about finding one there some time or a splitty/bay but aint got as far as finding out how you ship them. There are companies I think that take care of all that for you. Dont know if they help with all the tax as well though?

this !!! , 17s feel shite on an e30, look alright but you sacrifice a lot, i know as i drove around for a few months with them on mine, very poor ride and steering, an e30 is a drivers car and lots of fun, 17s take all that away

Keep it on 16's and the ride is much better. I've been running 16" Alpinas for the last 15 years and they suit the car well.

As above 16" staggered is the best way to go. Genuine Alpina RLE 17" are NLA and you won't get a set for less than 3k. £1500-2000 will not buy them wheels anywhere.
