Agreed - most newbies arrive with sub £1k sh1tters and then disappear again a few weeks later when the standard E30 horrors are pointed out to themTopblag wrote:I'm really liking the positive messages going to the buyer. 6 months back this thread would've been littered with all sorts of negative jive that the car would be rotten and will fall to pieces if used.
The primary reason it's not as this appears to be a well sorted car and wasn't cheap.
Let's hope we've stopped chasing newbies away.
Carry on.....
It would be nice for a change to see that what looks a nice car does in fact turn out to be just that.

Hope it turns out to be less rotten than mine
Good luck.
Good luck.
good luck mate, that is virtually the same as my sport auto, but mine is dolphin grey, with the same interior...
hope it is a good'un
oh, and before splashing out money on stuff like BK reps, just ask the question.....you'll get a lot of stick, but usually some good advice. genuine alpinas are lush, the BBS are nice on uneven roads though.
that selling price makes me feel good
hope it is a good'un

I'll go for genuine Alpina's, won't risk anything else...7j's all round or staggered?? I need to have a look at some photos of the staggered set up vs the 7J all round before I make my decision.pukar wrote:good luck mate, that is virtually the same as my sport auto, but mine is dolphin grey, with the same interior...

Looks very nice, but from past experience I would never buy a car from Chesham
, does look nice though and a nice colour, with is being an auto its probably not been as abused as a manual version.

You won't enjoy the ride on 18's,would drive like crap also
I know, people keep telling me this! Probably going to wait a bit and see what to do after I've had the car stripped and inspected first.blackE30indy wrote:You won't enjoy the ride on 18's,would drive like crap also

Is this going to be garaged? I feel it may get nicked out on the street.

After 2 weeks of stripping, detailing and works on any unforeseen issues the car will be containerised and shipped to Malawi where the sun shines all day long....and we dont have rust issues here!! and it will be kept safely in a garage so that the sun doesn't burn the body work and crack the dash. Temps out here get as high as 40 degrees +
