hi, as some of you may well know , last week my car overheated and i thought i done the head gasket, on closer inspection today, i thought id investigate, so refilled water and oil, started her up, running a little lumpy. so took off water cap and let her run to normal temp, then grey muddy oil and water came from coolant bottle, sludging up and boiling, also noticed leaking radiator, but checked oil again there was none in engine , as it was in coolant, any ideas whats happened and what remedy i have to do to sort her, have i cracked the head? please help cheers rob.

best thing to do is get the head off and take it to be crack/pressure tested,if the leak in the headgasket is that bad you'll see where the flaw is on the gasket, itll be clear as day. the only way oil can get into the coolant is via the holes in the head,so its definetly a head gasket,if its leaking into one of your bores too, affecting the running of the engine you can take a plug out of one cylinder at a time and when you start her up (with the other five plugs in) you'll see a load of water shoot out of the offending bore/spark plug hole. the only other place that water and oil could mix, although ive never heard of it happening on one of these is the oil cooler, where the filter screws on,could be buggered inside and allowing the water and oil to mix, anyone ever had this happen?
