I found a police interview tape which someone then used to record the top 40 (1991) from the radio on.
I was enjoying Heavy D & the Boyz when the song stopped and the interview carried on playing !

Actually got given an e30 which was a turd beyond you would believe but had a new grill still in the box and a tire pump which plugs into the lighter socket which has been very useful.
Talking about needles, a friend bought an e36 m3 for very cheap off a smack head. We pulled the full interior out and found over 40 needles stuffed under the seats, in door cards etc etc

Well we gave em a wipe first!
But nah, all used bar a couple. The passenger side rear armrest area was clearly his stash area as he had cut it out in a way that part of it was removable. Pure turd of a car, been on the jig twice after 2 big smashes and was way down on power. But a clean, some spurious stamps in the service book from where I was working and a new interior panel and it was served for 3 times the purchase price
pacer would have been proud.

LOL. You're not meant to drink that Fertan stuff - no wonder it tasted like shit. My mate once went to sell a nova, it seemed to have clocked a lot of miles when in his possession, so he decided (just like any nova owner) to wind the clocks back
Once the clocks were dismantled he found a post it note tucked in the back, reading 'oh no, not again!'

I've found bits and pieces in cars. Numerous pairs of glasses behind glove boxes for example. I'm over run with ice scrapers.
Never much exciting though.
Squirrels nest was nice, in the Tech 1 Si and I broke but then you needed penicillin just to get in the thing. And a mouse had made a nice nest in the top of a turret of an e46 I moved on for my neighbour.
The most money i've found when cleaning one was just under a fiver in an M3 Evo we broke. We put that towards a mcD's to make us even fatter.

Friend found dog biscuits in the air box of his 318iS. Apparently quite common for small animals to stash things in here!
Somebody I know purchased a MK1 MX5 for £300 and found £50 in £1 coins in the boot where the battery sits.
I found an Opal Fruits packet in mine!

Nothing spectacular in my E30, except a decent pair of scissors and a pack of sticky pads.
I bought a Primera GT a few years back. The passenger seat rear pocket thing was full of empty weed baggies and there was a burnt spoon and some nasal spray in the glovebox. The guy I bought it off was obviously a drug dealer as well, so it didn't take a lot to put two and two together.
Life has not been generous in giving me free stuff with new cars. Managed to get a few headunits now though.

Got a free Opel Manta a few years ago, was going to do up as a project car but turned out to be a rotbox of biblical proportions!
For example the floor would flex around the transmission tunnel since there was no inner or outer sills connecting it to the rest of the car

After fragging though we found the best part of £14 in coins stashed all over it
So the car actually worked out paying me instead

BMW and Opel, both RWD, both german, both good fun

Possibly not. He appeared to have a fairly new RX-8 for his new car, but they didn't exactly hold their value well off the forecourt...B7 wrote:Obviously not a very successful drug dealer then?
The primera was a 130k dog, with mismatching paint and a tatty interior and exterior, but it was a good car for a year. Suprisingly quick and very good in the corners.

I went with a mate to collect a triumph Herald Convertible that hadn't been used for about 10 years. He bought it off a woman in her 70's and in the glove box were several condoms, lube and a small feather duster.
