Has anyone had a problem with one of these ?
Is there a way to bypass this on a L-Jetronic ?
Reason i am asking is the module carries two connecting wires , one with a five pin plug and the other a smaller 2 pin plug.
The 2 pin plug/wire on mine has a problem and its affecting my ignition.
When i crank the engine i am not getting a spark. I tested all the way to the coil with positive results.. but here is what happens :
Step 1 : When i remove the coil wire from the dizzy and i crank i dont get a spark on the coil wire.
Step 2: when i ran a tester wire directly from the battery to the 2 pin connector wire from the module then the coil wire sparks , i put it back on the dizzy and i get ignition , car then idles/drives as normal. I would park it and restart intermittently without a problem.. however if i leave it for a couple of hours it wont start again. I repeat Step 2 and it works.
Thoughts ?

I have a complete engine compartment loom which includes the 5 pin plug. I'll have a rummage in the shed tomorrow and see whether I also have the part with the 2 pin plug.
